HawaiiCon is the Big Island’s sci-fi, comics, gaming and fantasy convention, celebrating all that is unique about our island. Share the adventure. HawaiiCon is a 100% volunteer-run organization in which 100% of profits go toward supporting and promoting STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts & math) education on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. Each year HawaiiCon engages in several activities, including the HawaiiCon fandom convention. The convention is intended to celebrate and build an appreciation for fandoms, science and culture, incorporating all cultural groups represented, with specific acknowledgement of the connection of the Hawaiian culture to the physical, intellectual and spiritual context.
