Waiakea Center celebrates the grand reopening of its food court and the grand opening of Johnny Rockets Hilo. Bring the family to enjoy live entertainment, prize giveaways and more.

Festivities begin at 9:30 a.m., with a blessing ceremony and ribbon cutting for Johnny Rockets Hilo. Johnny Rockets is known for its famous burgers, shakes and fries. Both Fun Factory and Johnny Rockets will celebrate with “Double the Fun” promotions, on Saturday. Also check out games and contests, plus a dance off event starting at 2 p.m.

Visit the renovated Waiakea Center Food Court, featuring L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, Kalbi Express and Johnny Rockets. Spend the day at Waiakea Center and enjoy a hula performance from Hālau Hula ‘O Kawaiākeaokahā at noon, followed by music from Hawane Rios, at 1 p.m.
